A major plywood manufacturer was experiencing excessive downfall on its newly installed string machines. Existing tape bond performance was poor, and panel output was substantially less than target. We were called in to improve the situation. Our Recovery Specialist installed Sesame^® Tape and made adjustments to the tape applicator and string machines. He continued to monitor the output and service the equipment during regular mill visits. As a result, mill production increased from under 3,700 panels per shift to over 4,500 sheets per shifts — in less than one month.

A major franchiser was looking for new ways to promote its products and increase sales. We were contacted to help with the development of a marketing promotion program. We developed a Surprize Tape^® product Program that incorporated customized promotional messages inside all of the franchiser's packages. The first promotion ran for three months and substantially increased sales. This dramatic success encouraged the company to launch three more campaigns, each with a different, customized message and promotional opportunity. For the franchiser, the Surprize Tape^® program consistently met the goal of increased sales, solidified its position in the marketplace and created excitement and good will with customers.

Driven by the demands of a major retailer, a household chemical manufacturer contacted its box manufacturer and requested a display-ready shipper. The box manufacturer contacted us and we worked with them to develop a new box design. The
Open-Sesame^® two-tape system was implemented — we installed equipment, provided training and assisted the box manufacturer through the process — and the retailer's needs were met. The chemical manufacturer's efforts were rewarded with more shelf space, which resulted in increased box orders.

A major detergent manufacturer needed an easy — open feature for its carton. Utilizing Sesame^® Tape, we worked with the manufacturer's carton supplier to design a new opening system-preserving the graphics on the carton and enabling the folding carton manufacturer to satisfy its customer.

A bulk bin manufacturer wanted an alternative to steel belly band reinforcement. The solution was easy. The bin manufacturer contacted us, and we recommended using Sesame^® Tape. Sesame^® Tape enhanced container integrity by reducing scoreline tearing, bulging and "elephant footing". It also reduced bin assembly time by four minutes per bin, which resulted in additional savings.

Our company worked with a major brewer's carton manufacturer to design a reduced caliper carton that includes two Sesame^® tapes, one for hand hole lifting reinforcement, the other for reinforcing scorelines — enhancing package performance and reducing cost.
